Track, er . . . Canal Workouts Are Back

What a surprise arriving at Chaparral today to find the track closed until August. Thanks, Lewis and Abby, for the tough canal segments.

Since the track was closed for resurfacing, we jogged to the canal for some killer intervals. The "fast" group ran 4x(1k easy, 1k hard). The "other" group ran 4x(800 yd easy, 800 yd hard). Great fun, mixing it up!

TriScottsdale's Big Track Group

Just because it is getting dark outside as the 2016 triathlon season comes to an end, it does not mean that our Wednesday Track workout is getting any smaller. Check out the video by Preston showing a very hard workout, thanks to Lewis Elliot, with about 50 team members showing up. If you are looking for a group training setting with some of the best triathletes in Arizona, check out our workouts.

Track Workout

Join us for our weekly track workout lead by Pro Triathlete, Lewis Elliot. This hour-long session starts with a warm-up before covering 3-5 miles of various track intervals.

The Chaparral High School track is closed for resurfacing through July. We have attempted to obtain permission from several schools throughout the Valley to continue our Wednesday morning track workouts. As of now we have been unable to secure a new location.

Therefore, our track workouts are suspended at Chaparral High School until the end of July.
